Out of School Care
Overview
At Little Steps – Northern Lights, after school is all about choice, movement, and a little bit of magic in the everyday. Located within Northern Lights School, we offer out-of-school care for Kindergarten through Grade 6 students in a space where children can jump into what interests them most.
With our I Wonder curriculum guiding the way, children lead their own play — from starting games with friends to building, creating, and exploring both indoors and out. It’s a place where curiosity shines, energy is welcomed, and no two afternoons ever look the same!

Our Program Accepts Subsidy
Subsidy through Alberta Child and Youth Services is available to children in Grades 1 and up who’s combined annual household income is less than $90,000.

Hours
Monday to Friday
7am to AM Bell Time
PM Bell time to 6pm
September to June
Closed statutory holidays, Christmas break, Spring break, and summer (July & August).
Program Fees
Registration Fee (Per School Year)
$50 non-refundable
Due at time of registration to confirm placement
Before & After Care – Grades 1 to 6
$595 per month
Kindergarten Care (coming September 2026)
$326.25 per month (as per the Affordability Grant Program)
All fees include PD Days and early dismissal Fridays.
Food is not provided.
